My father used to tell me, in detail, the journey to and from school. Similarly, I could vividly remember my walk back from school. On the other hand, my memory of commute is replete with social media and technology. The transformation of space leads to the alteration of one's relationship with nature and sensation.
lyrics
Walking!
Walking down the road!
Feel the pebbles roll
Tumblin' down the green grassy grove.
The smell of June
The summer rain will pour down soon
Walking!
Walking back from school.
Singing wistful tunes
Speakin' to the silver moon
The evening chill
The summer breeze of Claremont foothill
Commuting back from school
I feel the iPhone scroll
Staring at the blue facebook wall
The smell of urine
Raindrops falling on the window
The cool of air-conditioner
Alright, I transferred onto another bus
Riding to the next stop again.
I think it's time to read the news about science.

Walking
Talking
Walking back from home
Feel the iPhone scroll
Staring at blue facebook walls
(sniff)
The sting of acid rain
The heat of overcrowded trains
Music from my phone
The cold iPhone screen
I've been staring at nothing
With no memory of commute or place
Walking
Just walking
Walking
Just walking
